About Desert to Peaks Psychology

Having lived in both the deserts of Arizona and the mountains of Colorado, Dr. Horn has long been inspired by landscapes that are both beautiful and demanding. These environments reflect the resilience and adaptation often required during life’s most challenging seasons.

Desert to Peaks Psychology was founded on the belief that, with support and perseverance, people can move through struggle toward new perspectives, growth, and meaningful change—pausing along the way to recognize moments of beauty and progress. Inspired by the journey from desert terrain to mountain summits, the practice helps clients rediscover resilience, direction, and a deeper connection to their lives.

Mission & Approach

Our mission at Desert to Peaks Psychology is to support you through life’s challenges by providing collaborative, holistic, and evidence-based psychology and coaching services. We focus on understanding what patterns may be keeping you stuck and helping you develop the insight and skills needed to move forward.

Our clinicians are person-centered, action-oriented, and grounded in authentic connection. We believe growth happens when clients feel both deeply supported and gently challenged. We focus on creating space to process experiences while simultaneously helping you build new perspectives and take practical steps toward lasting change.

Our work integrates evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, emotion- and values-focused interventions, and relational and attachment-based therapies. Together, these approaches help clients shift self-limiting beliefs, strengthen resilience and self-compassion, and create meaningful change beyond the therapy room.
