Health Psychology

Many people want to make choices that will increase their energy, help them feel great in their body, and contribute to health and well-being. Health psychology combines foundational nutritional principles, psychological expertise, and behavior change to help you make change for good without a restrictive mindset, diet-mentality, or negative inner dialogue.

Health psychology is holistic. Sessions focus on helping you identify current barriers in the way of your health goals, structure your goals so that they are easier to achieve, build sustainable habits and routines, supercharge your motivation and willpower, and cope better with stress and setbacks.

Our sessions may include:

  • A non-diet, flexible approach to eating, learning how to integrate foods you actually enjoy into healthy living

  • Challenging a restriction or diet mindset; understanding strict food rules or under eating contributes to snacking, sugar cravings, and binges

  • Tools to help identify and reduce emotional eating/stress eating

  • Building mindful eating practices

  • Reconnect with hunger and fullness cues

  • Tools to manage intense cravings

  • Help you implement realistic, sustainable changes

  • Navigating setbacks

  • Discussions of cultural norms and societal expectations of food and health
